Most Rose Rocks are one half inch to four inches in diameter and consist of five to twenty radiating petals. Deposited 250 million years ago during the Permian Period of geological time, the rocks are usually found in Oklahomas Garber sandstone formations. Because barite is harder and more durable than sandstone, the
